So I am off for another round of the ol' Salone. I will travel from Atlanta-Chicago-Brussels-Freetown. A bit of a journey for sure! I hope to get to Tiwai on the 5th or 6th so I can get my cameras out in the forest and do lots and lots of fun things. Of course it is Ramadan in August, and I've never experienced Salone's version so not exactly sure what to expect. No, I do not plan on fasting but my assistants might so we will see. I am completely excited about my kayak, about the video projector, about my Pygmy Hippo Team tshirts, my bumper stickers, getting pygmy hippo posters printed and so much more!
I'll be in Sierra Leone until next June or July, depending on when the money runs out and I have to come home. Fulbright is going to make this season/year much more awesome. I will keep y'all updated and will try to post some pics as well.
I love getting emails while there updating me on your lives so I don't feel so out of the loop. Any interesting news? Let me know! :)
